Why you should read? What is the best blog growth indicator? … Read on to find out …
Introduction
My last blog achievement post #281, announced 20,000 views. I considered waiting for 30,000 views for this post, however I don’t think views is the best blog growth indicator. I mean, I don’t know about you, but I view my posts regularly to edit labelling, correct technical issues, or use their information for writing future posts, or to help me decide which products to purchase. This IS a product review blog ….
Views aren’t unique
So with all this activity, I could add huge VIEW numbers, by clicking on my own posts. What does this say about my readers engagement? …. NOTHING useful.
Viewers may not return
Whilst VIEWERS, eliminates my own blog activity by counting visitors only once, it doesn’t show who’s coming back, or who intends to. Whilst curiosity is much appreciated on my blog, this isn’t as valuable as someone reading my posts, getting value, then consequently returning …
Followers intend to return!
I have 190 FOLLOWERS, who valued my content, and wish, or wished to come back. This is why this metric, in my opinion, is the most reliable indicator of blog growth and engagement.
Reaseaorg follower progress
October 24th 2022= (57 Followers)
November 24th= (113 Followers)
December 24th= (149 Followers)
January 24th= (175 followers)
As shown above, my blog has grown in popularity, thanks to you, for which I am eternally grateful. It’s been a great surprise to receive such constructive feedback comments, learn from reading others’ blogs how to grow mine, and simply to see that joyous emoji regularly appear, providing regular dopamine hits 🙂
Summary
My followers, consequently engagement, has increased well in previous months. Comment with the best sustained engagement indicator. Is it views, viewers, followers, likes, comments, or positive feedback?

Closing statement
Reaseaorg blog is working on its content to enhance viewer experience. Over the previous few years, we have been gaining momentum until recently, and are currently looking at ways to continue to improve user experience of our blog.
We deeply thank all 190 of our followers, especially those who are still reading at this point in this article. You really do shape our content, and maintain our focus on producing content which appeals to our audience. Based on WordPress insights, we have learnt that certain types of product reviews are most popular, and our movie reviews are in need of the greatest modification to enhance viewing statistics.
Please feel free to advertise related content in the comments below, but all I ask is that you please be respectful. I have had some comments in the previous few months, which have gone against the spirit of my blog.
That is to be a friendly place for fans of Horror, movies, drinks, and adventures, and particularly those who are interested in writing or reading engaging content.
It is not a place for those who posted links of an explicit nature, reducing visibility of helpful comments, providing insight for my future blog writing.
I thank all of those who have liked my articles, but I won’t ask you to press like on any of my content, unless you do actually like it, as it helps me to gather further accurate information about the types of articles you, the reader, actually would like to see moving forward.
Please comment below with ideas for future content, or any thoughts not covered by the points outlined above.
I will continue to post this statement on articles to come, to ensure optimal visibility for viewers. A big thank you to Neil Patel, for producing a helpful video on search engine optimisation (SEO), to assist my content popularity. I hope it helps anyone else who has content online to get their voice heard, be it through writing or video, or other creative forms of expression online.
Based on insights gained, I have increased my blog content article length, introduced a “food for thought” section to encourage creator-viewer engagement, introduced a “why you should read” tag-line under each article title, added a closing statement which will be used on future articles for the same purpose of updating you on how the blog is progressing, and increased content from my critical eye.

I think you are right. Followers is the best indicator for blog growth. However, number of viewers isn’t that bad either. Even if those viewers did not start following you and perhaps did not even come back they still visited you. I’ve read a lot of articles and blogs that I did not come back to even though it was useful read. Basically, at least the visitors stats tells that your blog got attention. Another one to consider is search engine references. If a search engine references your blog a lot then their magic consider your blog worthwhile, well granted that optimization makes a big difference in this case.

You are doing great. I understand its the number of people who engages with your posts and the a healthy relationship you have with them is perhaps the true indicator. Views might be deceptive but not the people who regularly read and understand your words & thoughts.
Loved your encouraging and cheerful post. You’ll surely have a big crowd of people wandering around your blog.
Have a lovely weekend!

Yes, certainly is about the number of individuals and I think the meaningful comments that make your day 🙂

Congratulations! Good advice, I’d just like to add one more thing, loyal followers matter more than the numbers, I’ve found.
Keep up the good work! ✌️🙂

Yes indeed I do love interaction on here. Those that stick around often become good virtual neighbours.

Comments are the best indicator, I reckon. It’s very easy to view and even like without actually reading a post… I like blogging because I think you get to be part of a friendly, inclusive community and it doesn’t feel as narcissistic as social media.
