Had a long week ?? Unwind with the Horror “The Pact” review here …

The Pact is a 2012 (Horror/Mystery/Thriller) movie.

Horror Impact

The Unusual opens the show, with odd camera shots and music. Clever camera movements are used to increase tension without revealing anything.

The plot identifies how individuals notice things, increasing paranoia in others.

Drama is apparent on occasion, with the odd tense camera shot.

Overall the film captures the viewers imagination with scenes sufficiently varied to prevent boredom. The plot is sufficiently complex, and whilst at times I seems like there are a few too many characters, the interactions often help build the story.

As a Horror, there are moments that shock, although these are too infrequent. The film acts more as a Mystery/Thriller therefore, but is still worth a watch for the Horror fan.

“Worth a watch, but not particularly scary”.
