Sea Fever is a 2019 (Horror/Drama/Mystery) movie.

The opening clearly sets the scene and introduces the main characters, however the plot appears simplistic and takes a while to progress, leaving the viewer awaiting action …

The unusual featured after a while, with effects using lighting and sound well.

Whilst the film featured several curious experiences, it embodied far more Mystery, than Horror or Drama.

The Mystery element took hold, building viewer engagement through characters’  problem solving ability and ingenuity. Emotions and relationships became more central towards the end, until things finally became heart-warming and entertaining.

Whilst a slow burner, it had some good points. The confused genre didn’t help though, and I felt the Mystery and Romance elements should have been concentrated on from the off.

“Confused genre, but retains attention better towards the end”.
