Horror impact
The Opening
Melodic prayer provides suspense from the off, thrusting you into a spiritual world, where beliefs may be more important than reality. Darkness and nature provide an immediate sense of viewer vulnerability.
Sound is used highly variably, which seems to enhance frequently varied camera shots.
Horror manifestations are depicted well, and even the font of the title appears well considered.
Upbeat music isn’t omitted, which is often the case in Horrors that try too hard to be scary. This allows sharper contrasts between harmonious and macabre scenes.
The Next 30 minutes !!
Things unfortunately, go too cold turkey from Horror devices. The middle of the film is so underwhelming, bearing in mind the first 10 minutes provided some good foundations. It did feel like an age following the opening, before you get anywhere near completing the film.
Emotions are well played when they occur, but this is far too rare, considering the sparse attempts at fear or action. On the occasional moment where horror scenes do feature, lighting and tension-building camera shots, aswell as sounds, are used well. It’s a real shame events unfold so slowly.
The Ending
The exciting climax and ending brought everything together well. Evil manifestations were used just enough, and more mystery was present in the final moments of the film than everything prior, doubled.

“A real mixed bag, one with a good opening, and an exciting finale”.
