The Good

“Simple name and brand message”.

“Effective bottle design”.

“Can form part of a lunch deal”.

“Pleasant scent”.

“Flavour smooth throughout”.

“Moderate acidity”.

“Natural flavour throughout”.

“Fruity sweetness”.

“Unique taste”.

“Full flavoured”.

“Moderate mouthfeel”.

“Session-able”.

“Pleasant aftertaste”.

The Bad

“Texture not smooth”.

“Unbalanced”.

Packaging

The bottle was purchased from one-stop, as part of a £3.90 meal deal.

It suggested a variety of fruits were contained, and that the drink was “bursting with vitamins”. The name suggested simplicity. Brand message was supported by the rear label, which detailed percentage of vitamin reference intake.

Label colours fitted the gold machine brand message, and the fluid was also the same colour, resulting in label and fluid colours not clashing. This demonstrated good bottle design.

Smell

The smell was pleasantly fresh and tropical. It faded quickly, and wasn’t overpowering.

Taste

The taste began as sweet and fruity. A tang emerged after a couple of sips though. You could sense a few bits, so the texture wasn’t perfectly smooth, although flavour wasn’t harsh. Things felt natural throughout, although balance was not completely reached, with some parts of the flavour sweeter or more acidic than others.

Some parts had a moderate tang, which certainly wasn’t overpowering.

The fruity flavour masked a good level of sweetness, which prevented the tang getting overpowering. The character came from the combination of juices which I hadn’t tried before. It possessed a rather unique taste. Flavour was sufficiently full. Mouthfeel was moderate, but held sufficient flavour.

The drink would be session-able, as it wasn’t too filling, and flavour wasn’t overpowering or unpleasant.

Aftertaste was fruity and tangy which was pleasant.

Summary

“Fairly unique tropical sweetness”.
