In Fear (2013) movie review “Weird and repetitive film, seldom had an interesting moment”- (4/10).

Introduction

In Fear is a 2013 Horror/Mystery/Thriller movie. It is currently on the All 4 catch up app.

The Good

  • Clear and simple plot.
  • Eerie sounds used.
  • Evil not revealed too soon.
  • Unusual happenings.
  • Some psychological elements.
  • Action-packed moments occasionally evident.
  • Twist at the end.

The Bad

  • Slow opening.
  • Drama at extremely obvious times.
  • Tension not built up effectively.
  • Sound and light effects could be improved.
  • No cut scenes or switching camera.
  • Only good part was the last minute.

Conclusion

There was more tension, based on character stress than anything else. Sounds and camera shots were selected, but they just didn’t impart tension or fear into the viewer.

Take home

“Weird and repetitive film, seldom had an interesting moment”.
