The Good
“Positive brand message”.
“Eye-catching bottle”.
“Cheap price”.
“Clear expectations”.
The Bad
“Impractical”.
“Limited backstory”.
“Subtle fruity smell”.
“Too acidic”.
“Lacking sweetness”.
“Artificial taste”.
“No USP”.
“Not full flavoured”.
“Non session-able”.
“Watery mouthfeel”.
“Harsh flavour”.
“Harsh aftertaste”.
“Overall not pleasant”.
The bottle didn’t contain a blurb to enlighten to the history of the company, however indicated the website for further information. Whilst it stated the cider apples had been grown for generations, it didn’t provide an establishment year, which was a little disappointing.
“Mighty refreshing”, and “Expertly blended”, appeared to be 2 key messages for the brand. This lead me to expect bold flavours on sampling.
The yellow and gold contrasted well with the green label. The logo was bright, featuring a badge of honour from the World Cider award.
This bottle was purchased for £1. Each bottle provides 2.5 units, from 5% alcohol, and 500ml.
2.5 is a little low to be fully practical, as 2 would place you over the old governments’ do not regularly exceed range.
Taste expectations
Medium dryness, full flavour, crisp (tangy), fruity, and balanced are the words I’ve managed to retrieve from the bottle and official website. We shall see …
Smell
On opening, the smell was a subtle fruity tang. It didn’t persist long.
Taste
The taste was too tangy, yet lacking sweetness to balance.
Mouthfeel was too watery. There was no real USP, and the tang became quite overpowering. The flavour felt artificial, and wasn’t actually pleasant, so I wouldn’t suggest adding as part of a session. The taste was rather harsh, particularly into the aftertaste.
Summary
Quite harsh, nothing exciting.

It looks quite good but I guess it wasn’t as great as it looked. Interesting review.
