American Mary 2012 (Drama/Horror) review –  “A bit gory at first but the storyline became ever more powerful and shocking throughout” – (6.5/10).

What better way to spend your lighter evenings than by watching a Horror ?

Okay, walking in the sunshine with friends is good, but you can’t beat a good solitary thrill …

Enjoy the Horror “American Mary” review here …

American Mary is a 2012 (Drama/Horror) movie.

The opening highlighted scenes which were slightly gory, with camera angles used to good effect. Fear wasn’t provided to capture the users attention though.

The film thereafter, proceeded with a very unusual turn of events, which weren’t for the squeamish. I’m not generally into the more gore-themed Horrors, although here the storyline bolstered the movie. This allowed some entertainment, if not from an especially scary Horror.

Unusual events along with gore were used, towards the beginning, with violence becoming more central later on. Themes were certainly twisted throughout.

The ending I would argue was the best part of the film, since it was highly psychologically powerful. Not knowing right from wrong due to moral dilemmas further highlighted this. It was a shame this film wasn’t made scarier during tense scenes, although the story did compensate for this.
