Introduction
Silent Hill 2 (Revelation) is a 2012 (Horror/Mystery/Thriller) movie, according to IMDb.
Impact
Volume was varied well, and sound remained a key Horror mechanism, much like in the original. It was disappointing Horror effects were no better, despite the more recent release date. Gore was present too.
The film lacked the originality of the original, aswell as plot complexity, which were 2 important elements. The acting was a little forced from lead roles; I didn’t believe the “fear”, experienced.
Scenery wasn’t frequently changed, and the plot unfolded slowly. There wasn’t the same level of maintained viewer interest as the original, and therefore I got distracted on occasion.
Close to one hour in, action began to pick up, with different scenery, and some plot information.
Action was better towards the end, although the movie lacked the twists and turns of the original.
Conclusion
“Action packed ending, yet mostly uninteresting”.
